Monadnock LAPD/NYPD Baton Stop with Cord Zipper Pull 2716

Overview of the Monadnock LAPD/NYPD Baton Stop with Cord | 1000187

A Stop and Retention Cord in One Part

The Monadnock LAPD/NYPD Stop Cord Zipper Pull 2716 (MPN 1000187) is a straight baton stop with a retention cord already attached. Monadnock states the stop is drilled through so the cord anchors directly to it. A zipper pull tab finishes the free end of the cord.

A bare straight baton has nothing to keep it tied to your hand when a grip gets wet or a struggle turns fast. This baton accessory gives police officers, corrections officers, and security officers a simple way to keep the baton under control.

Why Officers Choose It

• Ready to install: the stop and cord ship joined, so there is nothing to tie.
• Wrist retention: loop the cord around your wrist to keep the baton with you.
• Proven maker: Monadnock states it has supplied batons, restraints, and training aids to law enforcement for more than 50 years.

Key Features

• Integrated stop and cord: Monadnock attaches the cord through a hole drilled in the stop, so the two parts stay together.
• Zipper pull end: a pull tab on the free end of the cord gives you something to grab.
• Wrist retention: the cord loops around your wrist for better control of the baton.
• LAPD and NYPD style: named for the straight batons carried in the LAPD and NYPD tradition.
• Field durability: Monadnock describes premium construction and tactical grade durability for use in the field.
• Low profile color: black stop and black cord match a standard black duty baton.

Intended Users

Patrol officers and sheriff's deputies who carry a straight baton use this stop and cord to keep the baton controlled on duty.

Corrections officers working housing units and transport details add wrist retention to a straight baton they carry every shift.

Security officers at venues, hospitals, and private posts use it to finish a straight baton setup where policy allows a baton.

Police academy staff and recruits use it to outfit straight batons for training, and agencies keep spares to replace lost or worn stops and cords.
