SENTRY Bolt Boot Neoprene Rifle Bolt Cover | 16BA01

Overview of the SENTRY Bolt Boot | 16BA01

The SENTRY Bolt Boot 16BA01 is a 3mm neoprene rifle bolt cover that slips over your bolt to protect it in the gun safe, the truck, or the case. SENTRY builds it from the same premium neoprene used in its SENTRY Standard 3mm Scopecoat Neoprene Riflescope Cover and SENTRY Barrel Boot muzzle cover.

You know the sound: you pull one rifle from a crowded safe and the bolt drags across the stock or scope of the gun beside it. The Bolt Boot cushions that contact point so your bolt, and every firearm around it, stays free of dings and scratches.

Built for Hunters, Shooters, and Agencies

Hunters, precision shooters, police armorers, and anyone storing several long guns together use the Bolt Boot to cut wear between range trips.

• Stretch fit that slips on and off by hand
• Guards against dust and moisture as well as impact
• Made in the U.S.A. and backed by a SENTRY lifetime guarantee

Key Features

• 3mm Premium Neoprene: SENTRY states the Bolt Boot uses the same neoprene as its Scopecoat optic covers, so it cushions impact without adding bulk.
• Stretch to Fit: The flexible sleeve stretches over the bolt and comes off just as fast when you are ready to shoot.
• Protects Neighboring Firearms: A covered bolt cannot gouge the stocks, scopes, or finishes of rifles stored beside it.
• Dust and Moisture Barrier: SENTRY states the cover shields your bolt from wear, dust, and moisture during storage.
• Four Colors: Choose Black, Coyote Brown, Dark Earth, or Natural Gear Camo to match your rifle or your safe setup.
• Care: Remove the cover and let it air dry if it gets wet before you put it back on a stored rifle. Wipe the bolt with a protectant such as Sentry Marine Tuf-Glide and Tuf-Cloth before covering it for long-term storage.
• Warranty: SENTRY backs the Bolt Boot with its lifetime guarantee.

Specifications

Variant SKUs, MPNs, and UPCs

Compatibility

• Designed for: Rifle bolts, especially the exposed bolt and bolt handle on bolt-action rifles stored in a safe, rack, or soft case.
• Environments: Gun safes, vaults, vehicle storage, hunting camps, and range transport.
• Sizing: SENTRY does not publish exact dimensions. The stretch neoprene is built to fit a range of bolts, so check your bolt handle size if your rifle uses an oversized knob.
• Not designed for: Covering the muzzle or optic. Use the SENTRY Barrel Boot for the muzzle and a Scopecoat for your riflescope. For red dots and holographic sights, choose the Sentry Electronic and Holographic Scopecoat.
• Full-length protection: To cover the entire rifle, step up to the Sentry Long Gun Go Sleeves or the Sentry Armadillo Water Resistant Gun Cover.
• Pistols: The Bolt Boot is built for rifles. To protect a pistol slide, see the Sentry Slideboot.

Intended Users

Hunters use the Bolt Boot to keep a scoped bolt-action rifle from marking up other guns in the safe during the off season.

Police department armorers and agency range staff use it to protect patrol and precision rifles stored side by side in vehicle vaults and armory racks.

Precision and long-range shooters cover their bolts to keep dust and grit out of the action between matches, and many protect their glass with riflescope and optic accessories as well.

Collectors, preppers, and home defenders use it to preserve rifle finishes when several long guns share one safe. Browse our gun safes and vehicle storage options to complete your setup.
