Overview of the Epoch™ L3 Molded Light Bearing Duty Holster

The BLACKHAWK! Epoch™ L3 Molded Light Bearing Duty Holster delivers secure retention and a fast, confident draw for patrol and security work. Its patent-pending system locks on the pistol’s ejection port, then releases by a natural thumb motion using the Epoch Auto Lock. The Pivot Guard opens by thumb activation and is designed not to close accidentally while the gun is holstered. The design accepts popular under-barrel lights, including TLR-1®, TLR-2®, and X300, without adding bulk or drag.

Many officers face two pain points. Light-bearing guns often do not fit standard holsters, and snaps or hoods can pop open at the worst time. The Epoch™ solves both issues. It fits leading lights and removes fragile snaps and hoods while reinforcing a full master grip for repeatable presentation under stress. A passive retention detent screw lets you fine-tune hold strength for your duty environment.

The holster ships in black with basketweave or plain finishes and in left or right-handed models. It includes the innovative Jacket Slot Duty Belt Loop for a stable, close-to-body ride. Mid-Ride and High-Ride Duty Belt Loops are available separately if you want a different height. The platform fits all BLACKHAWK! injection-molded mounts and is made in the U.S.A.
