5.11 Tactical Rapid PL 1AA Compact EDC Flashlight | 53395

Overview of the 5.11 Tactical Rapid PL 1AA Flashlight | 53395

A Pocket Light That Runs on the Battery You Have

The 5.11 Tactical Rapid PL 1AA Flashlight (53395) is a compact EDC and backup flashlight that runs on one AA battery or one 14500 lithium-ion rechargeable. 5.11 Tactical rates it at 190 lumens on AA and 330 lumens on a 14500, with a 70 meter beam from a Cree XP-G3 LED.

Your primary light dies halfway through a night shift, or the power goes out and the junk drawer flashlight won't turn on. AA batteries are sold at nearly every gas station and grocery store, so this light is easy to keep running.

Built for Daily Carry

• 4.24 in long and 2.53 oz with battery
• IP68 dustproof and submersible to 2 meters
• Removable bidirectional pocket clip for pockets, hat brims, and gear

Patrol officers, EMTs, and security guards carry it as a backup light. Preppers and everyday carriers use it as a primary pocket flashlight.

• Three modes: High, Low, and Strobe.
• Tailcap push-button switch: A rubber tail button sits inside a knurled grip ring for easy one-hand use.

Specifications

Compatibility

• Batteries: Use one AA battery or one 14500 lithium-ion battery. A 14500 is the same size as a AA but runs at a higher voltage, so charge it only in a 14500-compatible charger.
• Carry: The clip fits pants and shirt pockets, hat brims, and pack straps. Remove it to drop the light into a pouch or glove box.
• Belt holders: Check holder size against the 0.88 in head and 0.82 in body. Stretch-fit and mini-light holders such as the Nite Ize Lite Holster Stretch and the Bianchi Model 7310 Mini-Light Holder are options; confirm fit for your carry.
• Environments: Rated IP68, so rain, dust, and brief submersion to 2 meters are covered.
• Not a weapon light: This is a handheld light with no rail mount. It does not attach to firearms.
• Need a longer body? The two-battery 5.11 Tactical Rapid PL 2AA is the larger sibling in the same family.

Intended Users

Patrol officers and deputies carry the Rapid PL 1AA as a backup to a duty light, so a dead battery never leaves them in the dark during a traffic stop or building search. EMTs and paramedics clip it to a uniform pocket to check pupils, read labels, or light a dark stairwell. Security guards and corrections officers use it on night rounds. Tow operators and public works crews keep one in the truck for roadside work, and preppers and everyday carriers choose it because AA batteries are easy to stock.
