You activate the ambidextrous paddles by pressing down or in with your support hand thumb or trigger finger. A quick press usually gives constant on, while a press and hold provides momentary light. The light uses a machined aluminum body with a black anodized finish and a sealed lens assembly. The TLR-7A includes a safe off feature. You rotate the switch or control to the safe off position so the paddles cannot activate the light.
