Frequently Asked Questions about the Hatch Street Guard SGK100 Glove

What cut level is the Hatch Street Guard SGK100 glove?

The Hatch SGK100 carries an EN388:2016 rating of 1241C, which includes ISO cut level C. Hatch notes that cut-resistant gloves are not cut-proof and that ratings come from controlled lab testing.

Where is the Kevlar in the Street Guard SGK100 glove?

The Kevlar liner sits on the palm side, covering the inside of the hand and fingers. The back of the hand uses a neoprene and nylon spandex shell for stretch and airflow.

Can I shoot and handle my duty weapon wearing the SGK100?

Yes. Hatch designed the SGK100 for positive weapon control, with an embossed synthetic leather palm and nonslip grip patches in the cradle area. The thin build keeps trigger feel and dexterity.

How is the SGK100 different from the Hatch Street Guard FR glove?

The SGK100 pairs a synthetic leather palm with a Kevlar inner-palm liner. The Street Guard FR uses a goat leather palm and a Kevlar back of hand for flame resistance. Choose the FR model for fire exposure.

Do cut-resistant duty gloves protect against needlesticks?

No. Cut-resistant gloves like the SGK100 slow blades and sharp edges, but they are not rated for needle punctures. For pat-downs where syringes are likely, choose a glove rated for needlestick protection.
