Frequently Asked Questions about SENTRY Standard 3mm Scopecoat

What size Scopecoat do I need for my scope?

Pick the size closest to your scope's overall length in inches and objective outside diameter in millimeters. Include any sunshade in the length. SENTRY states the cover stretches about 10 percent beyond its stated size.

Does the Standard Scopecoat fit scopes with tall turrets?

No, the Standard Scopecoat is built for standard or low turrets. SENTRY suggests the 6mm XP-6 Scopecoat for turrets 0.75 inches or taller, since its elongated sides give complete coverage.

What is the difference between the Standard Scopecoat and the XP-6?

The Standard Scopecoat uses 3mm neoprene for a slim fit on standard turrets. The XP-6 uses 6mm neoprene, three times thicker, with elongated sides for tall or tactical turrets.

Is a neoprene scope cover waterproof?

No, the Scopecoat is water resistant, not waterproof. SENTRY states it draws moisture and condensation away from the scope, and a commercial spray-on water repellent makes it temporarily waterproof.

Can I wash my Scopecoat?

Yes, the Scopecoat is machine washable. SENTRY recommends turning it inside out to air dry for about 12 hours and keeping it out of the dryer.
