Question 1: What does "intrinsically safe" mean, and why does it matter for a flashlight?

An intrinsically safe (IS) device is engineered so that it cannot produce a spark, arc, or surface temperature high enough to ignite a flammable atmosphere under normal or fault conditions. For a flashlight, this means the electronics are sealed, the battery is mechanically locked, and the entire assembly is independently tested and certified to a recognized standard -- in this case, cULus, ATEX Zone 0, IECEx, INMETRO, KOSHA, and UKCA. Question 3: Can I use the INTRANT's Dual-Light mode during active firefighting?

Yes. The Dual-Light mode simultaneously activates the 200-lumen flashlight and the 100-lumen floodlight for a combined 205-lumen output, and the light is NFPA 1971-8.6 (2018) compliant for structural firefighting personal protective equipment. The flashlight head rotates 90 degrees to direct the spotlight, while the fixed 45-degree downward floodlight covers the 8-foot path in front of you, giving you target acquisition and trip-hazard awareness at the same time.

On High mode, the rechargeable Li-ion battery pack provides 7 hours of flashlight run time and takes 6 hours to fully recharge.
