Esposas ASP Chain Ultra Plus - Acero o Aluminio

Frequently Asked Questions about ASP Chain Ultra Plus Handcuffs

What is the difference between the Tactical and Security ASP Chain Ultra Plus Handcuffs?

Tactical models (56060 and 56061) open with a standard handcuff key. Security models (46060 and 46061) use a 2 pawl high security lock set that, according to ASP, needs a special key and will not open with a standard key.

How does the keyless double lock work on ASP Ultra Plus Cuffs?

You press the color-coded double lock bar with a fingertip once the cuffs are set, and no key is needed. To release, turn the key in one direction to free both the double lock and the primary lock.

Should I choose steel bows or aluminum bows?

Choose aluminum bows to save weight: ASP lists about 7 ounces per pair versus 9 ounces for steel bows. Steel bows suit users who prefer a traditional bow. Both versions share the same forged 7075-T6 aluminum frame.

Are chain handcuffs or hinged handcuffs better for patrol?

Chain handcuffs allow more wrist movement and fold compactly into a case, while hinged handcuffs limit movement for added control. ASP makes the Ultra Plus in both styles, so you can match your agency policy.

Can I change the lock set on ASP Chain Ultra Plus Handcuffs?

Yes, the lock set is replaceable. ASP builds Ultra Plus lock assemblies as unitized, replaceable lock sets, so the cuffs can be field serviced or switched to a different lock configuration to match agency preferences.
